The invention relates to a lapping or polishing tool which is meant preferably for clamping into a hand-operated filing machine. The object of the invention is to provide lapping or polishing tools which no longer exhibit the outlined, undesirable overstressing of the edge zones of the lapping surfaces and can be mutually exchanged by one manipulation, with the result that even precise surfaces having defined qualities may be produced by unskilled workers after a very short training period. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the working surface of the lapping-tool element is subdivided into one or more rectilinear, annular or polygonal strip-shaped zones, and that a downwardly closed ball socket with an undercut is articulated on the upper side of said element. Said ball socket consists of a suitable plastic and is used for the catch-locking, and thus securing, of the ball head of a feed rod which, for its part, is preferably clamped into a hand-operated filing machine. |
