PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material which ensures a stable image with excellent color forming property suitable for high-speed recording by arranging a developer combining a specified phenol-oriented compound and antipyrine complex of thiozinc cyanate and a leuco dye to be contained in a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:(A) A leuco dye and (B) a developer comprising (i) an antipyrine complex of zinc thiocyanage of the formula I and (ii) at one kind of phenol-oriented compound selected from among a compound (e.g. p-phydroxybenzoate benzylester) of the formula II (wherein R1 represents 1-7C, alkyl, phenyl and benzyl), that (e.g. 4-hydroxyphthalate dimethyl-ester) of the formula III (wherein: R2 and R3 each represent 1-7C alkyl, phenyl or benzyl) and that [e.g. 1,7-di(4- hydroxyphenylthio)-3,5-dioxaheptane] of the formula IV (wherein: R4 represents 2-10C alkylene containing 1-3 ether bonds) are contained in a heat-sensitive color forming layer on a support to obtain a desired recording material. |
