PURPOSE:To accurately judge the quality of an engine without being subjected to the effect of noise, by rotating the crank shaft of the engine by a drive apparatus and measuring the average value of driving torque and the deviation area from the average value. CONSTITUTION:A motor 1 is rotated and the crank shaft 3 of an engine 2 is rotated. At this time, the number of rotations of said shaft 3 is detected by a rotary speed measuring apparatus 4 and the motor 1 is rotated in the constant number of rotations. The average value of the driving torque of the motor 1 and the deviation area from the average value are measured by a torque measuring apparatus 11. On the basis of these measured values, the magnitude of friction resistance is judged from the average value by a judge zone 6 while the degree of compression is judged from the deviation area by said judge zone 6 to judge the quality of the engine 2. Therefore, even if a torque signal receives the effect of noise, the quality of the engine can be accurately judged. |
