PURPOSE:To irradiate a fluorescent material sheet effectively and to obtain a compact device by constituting the internal wall of the housing of an erasure part including a light source for erasure and conveying means so that light from the erasing light source is reflected. CONSTITUTION:When reading is made as shown by an arrow B and then the accumulative fluorescent material 150 is supplied, the sheet 150 is clamped between a roller 176 and a belt 172 for conveyance and conveyed to the opening part 170 of the erasure unit 100, and when it is positioned right below the opening part 170, the erasing light source is turned on. The light illuminates the sheet 150 directly or after being reflected by the specular internal wall of the housing 102, thus performing erasure efficiently.
