PURPOSE:To improve moldability without lowering heat resistance, by blending a specified phosphoric amide compd. with a polyphenylene ether or a compsn. thereof with a styrene resin. CONSTITUTION:A phosphoric amide compd. of formula II (wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> are each a 1-10C linear, alicyclic or arom. hydrocarbon group, etc.), such as triphenylphosphoramide or tri-o-tolylphosphoramide, is blended with a polyphenylene ether of formula I (wherein Q is H, halogen, hydrocarbon group, etc.; n is at least 50), such as poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether or a compsn. thereof with a styrene resin to obtain the titled compsn. Usually, the amide compd. is used in a quantity of 0.1-25pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the entire quantity of the polymers.
