Sensor for detection of the inclination of a Backrest

The system to determine the pitch angle of the backrest (3), in an adjustable vehicle seat (1), has a magnetic path sensor (7) which registers the longitudinal movement of the setting shaft (5) when set by the hand wheel (4). The detector (7a) of the sensor is over the threaded tube (6) of the backrest setting mechanism. The sensor signals are passed to an electronic signal processor (11) to compute the backrest position.
