<p>A main piston 9 is held in an inactive position by a mechanical locking system 1, 3, 4, 6 and by a spring 14. At the moment when the bomb is launched, springs 5, 7 ensure the release after the extraction of two pins 1, 3. On impact, the piston is displaced under the effect of the violent deceleration, thereby compressing the associated spring 14, in order to assume an active position in which it is locked by a second piston. In this position, an intermediate sector 18 of the detonator, integral with the main piston, comes into communication with two other fixed sectors 22, 23, whilst a microswitch closes in order to trigger the explosion with a time delay. <IMAGE></p> |
