PURPOSE:To make an abbreviated dial call only by the operation of the electronic telephone set by storing subscribers to be called and their abbreviated numbers, etc., and displaying stored information on a display part with a display key. CONSTITUTION:A caller operates ''KANA'' (Japanese syllabary) and a ''KANA''- ''KANJI'' (Chinese character) conversion key 41a to input the initials of a subscriber to be called and then presses a memory access key 41b as one of function keys 51. Then, a central processor 1 retrieves and reads the subscriber having the initials out of a subscriber storage part 31 and displays subscriber information on a display part 8 through a display buffer 6 and a character generator 7. When a desired subscriber appears on the display part 8, an abbreviated dial key 41g is depressed and a dial key 43 is operated to input an abbreviated dial number. The central processor 1 retrieves the abbreviated dial number in a conversion table 32 and converts it into the code signal of a normal dial number, which is sent to a dial transmission control part. |
