PURPOSE:To alkalinize potable water for a long period of time by replenishing gradually a calcium component into supply water through a permeable membrane by utilizing the difference in the dissolving concn. of calcium. CONSTITUTION:A tank 25 is storage chamber which is open on the top side. Calcium hydroxide 26 in powder, etc. is packed into said chamber. The permeable membrane 27 is fixed by means of a clamping rings 28, 29 which are springs to the tank 25 to close the aperture of the tank 25. The calcuim hydroxide in the storage chamber is eluted by taking extremely long period and is replenished into the supply water if the permeable membrane is used in the above-mentioned way and therefore the potable water is subjected effectively to the subsequent water treatment.
