PURPOSE:To enable a clutch to be connected smoothly and quietly by providing respective discs opposing to each other in the driving and the driven sides to control a large number of pressure contact elements provided on the outer periphery of one disc to make pressure contact with the other disc by working medium pressure, electromagnetic power and the like. CONSTITUTION:This clutch 10 consists of a driving side disc 1 united with a driving shaft 5, a driven side disc 2 united with a driven shaft 6 opposing in parallel to the disc 1, and a flexible coupling 8 united with an output shaft 9 fixed at the end part of the opposite side to the disc 2 of the driven shaft 6. The driven side disc 2 has a cylindrical flange part 2F projecting toward the disc 1, and a large number of hydraulic cylinders 3a, 3b, 3c... at specified intervals on the flange part 2F. And power extraction is executed by supplying pressure oil to the hydraulic cylinders 3a, 3b... through oil passages 17, 15, 14 and the like from a pressure oil pump 18, and moving a press-contact elements 4 leftward through a piston to make press-contact with the driving disc 1. |
