<p>Acetylenic and alenic derivs. of 2-amino methyl indole of formulae (I), (II) and (III) are made by (a) reacting 2-indole carboxylic acid with thionyl chloride in inert solvent; (b) reacting the acid chloride obtd. with an amine RNH2 to obtain the carboxamide (I); (c) reducing this with aluminium hydride and lithium in tetrahydrofuran to the amine (II) or one of its salts; (d) dissolving in ether, benzene, tetrahydrofuran, methanol or ethanol and treating hot or cold with an acetylenic bromide R1-Br to give the corresp. acetylenic or alenic amines (III).</p> |
