The hunting-gun cartridge case is of synthetic material and comprises a cylindrical extruded shell and a moulded base accommodating the priming cap assembled to it by welding. The shell (1) tapers at one end (3), and the base (2) has a complementary tapered seat (8). The faces in contact are secured together by a continuous welding zone. The tapered seat can be extended by a cylindrical skirt, whose internal diameter is equal to the external diameter of the shell. The same material can be used for both shell and base, or alternatively different ones having melting points which are close together.
