PURPOSE:To use an induction stepping motor for multiple uses with rigid and simple construction by providing the functions of induction and stepping motors in one motor. CONSTITUTION:A stator wired with polyphase windings 31 for forming a revolving magnetic field in a cylindrical core slot, and a rotor disposed through an air gap are provided. The rotor has notches 33 at the portions except salient-poles 32, and the same construction as a squirrel-cage rotor used widely except the notches. The salient pole length in the circumferential direction is suitably determined to be slightly displaced from the stator one phase winding pitch. The squirrel-cage windings on the salient poles are arbitrarily determined according to the capacity such as single, double or deep slots. |
