PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit and to reduce its cost by providing a variable resistor for centering current control and a differential amplifier circuit in parallel to a floating power source, comparing the voltage obtained at the needle of the variable resistor with the voltage across a resistor for current detection, and controlling the differential amplifier circuit with the comparison error signal. CONSTITUTION:The needle of the variable resistor 12R is adjusted, and when the voltage at a connection point (b) is higher than a reference voltage, a centering correction current Ia corresponding to the voltage developed at the needle of the variable resistor 12R flows in the order of the positive electrode of a battery 10, transistor 13a, resistor 15, horizontal deflecting coil 5R, choke coil 7, and negative electrode of the battery 10. When the voltage at the connection point (b) is lower than the reference voltage, on the other hand, a centering correction current Ib corresponding to a voltage developed at the needle of the variable resistor 12R flows in the order of the positive electrode of a battery 11 - transistor 13b, and the negative electrode of the battery 11. Thus, individual horizontal centering correction currents are flowed to horizontal deflecting coils 5R, 5G and 5B to attain excellent horizontal centering.
