PURPOSE:To increase contact of active material with a grid by corroding a casting or forming grid, removing a corroded layer, and filling active material paste in the grid to form a lead-acid battery plate. CONSTITUTION:A casting grid or expanded is corroded by anodically oxidizing, and a corroded layer is chemically removed to form a grid having a large surface area on corroded interface. Active material paste is filled in the grid to form a lead-acid battery plate. The contact area of active material with grid is increased, and increase in distortion between corrosion layer on the grid and active material interface caused by repeating of charge and discharge is suppressed and capacity deterioration and lack of charging are prevented. |
