PURPOSE:To execute processing related to the edition of logging information without forming an exclusive task by displaying scan-out data or error logging information on a display device of a console by the same scanning display task on the basis of an instruction from the console in an information processing system. CONSTITUTION:Every generation of malfunction in a central processor 11, a scan-out task in a service processor 1 is started and the contents of all latch groups 13 in the processor 11 are read out by a scan-out register 12 and written in a log information area 15 of a floppy disc 15 on the basis of the instruction of said task. The log information area is displayed on a display device on the basis of an instruction from an SVP console at the search of the cause of a fault or debugging. When any one of a CPU scanning control task 2 or a LOG scanning control task 6 is started from the console 16, control is transferred to a scanning display task 3. In case of the task 2, the contents of a clatch in the processor 11 are displayed under the control of the scan-out task 4, and in case of a task 6, log data is read out from log information in a disc device 14. |
