PURPOSE:To eliminate variation in usable band width even when amplitude characteristics are varied by adding a variable phase shifting function to a delay circuit included in a transversal amplitude equalizer. CONSTITUTION:Variable phase shifting circuits 7 and 8 are added respectively. The quantity of phase shifting of the variable phase shifting circuit 8 is set double as large as that of the variable phase shifting circuit 7. Then, the amplitude ratio of an input signal and an output signal depends upon the quantity of phase shifting of the variable phase shifter 7. The usable band width is fixed even when the amplitude characteristics are varied by varying the quantities of phase shifting. Further, the same effect is obtainable by adding the variable phase shifting circuit 7 between a three-branch hybrid 1 and a delay circuit 2 and the variable phase shifting circuit 8 between the hybrid 1 and a delay circuit 3. |
