<p>The slicer consists of a flat strip of rigid metal. The strip has a handle part (1), a round aperture (2) and an angled end stop (3). The aperture is tapered for a better fit around the egg top. A standard table knife is used to remove the top with a quick slicing action, being restricted by the angled end stop. Alternatively, the slicer may be made of rigid plastics, and may carry an advertising slogan or hotel name. The slicing operation is carried out with the egg placed in a conventional egg cup.</p> |
