The method for assessing the oxidative stress in the ischemized lower limb comprises the record of the oxidative stress parameters in the samples blood for the assessment of the reperfusion lesion of the ischemized lower limb. Namely, the stable mitochondrial factor (SMF) is assessed as the parameter of the oxidative stress. The proteins of the blood serum taken are totally precipitated and the absorbance of the supernatant is measured in the ultraviolet range of wavelength. The optical density is plotted against the wavelength. SMF is assessed based on the plot.
