The method involves measuring magnetic resonance signals for a magnetic resonance imaging to be produced with a group of coil units of a magnetic resonance system. The signals received from the individual coil units are automatically pre-evaluated, and a set of coil units is selected based on the result of the pre-evaluation of the signals. The imaging is produced based on the signals received from the selected coil units. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control device for a magnetic resonance system (2) a magnetic resonance system with a control device (3) a computer program product with a memory for storing steps of a magnetic resonance imaging producing method.
