ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY

PURPOSE:To provide sensitivity to electrostatic charging of both positive and negative polarities and to improve sensitivity by having two charge generating layers into at least one of which a trisazo pigment is incorporated and a charge transfer layer on a conductive base body and forming the transfer layer between the two charge generating layers. CONSTITUTION:The layer constitution of the electrophotographic sensitive body used in this invention is shown in the figure. The plus carrier from the 1st charge generating layer 2 constituted on the conductive base body 1 passes through the charge transfer layer 3 and erases the minus charge on the surface of the photosensitive body for the minus electrostatic charge, when the layer 3 transfers only the plug carrier. The plus change on the surface of the photosensitive body is erased by the minus carrier formed by the 2nd charge generating layer 4 on the photosensitive body surface and the plus carrier generated simultaneously with the minus carrier passes through the layer 3 and is implanted to the body 1 when the plus electrostatic charge is executed.
