TORQUE DETECTING DEVICE FOR INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To detect a momentary torque with good accuracy by performing a calculation with the corrected value of the detected value of the pressure variation of the inside of a cylinder by the reference value of the inner pressure of the cylinder and with the detected crank angle and by outputting a signal according to the net thorque generated by an engine. CONSTITUTION:A pressure detecting means 1 detecting the pressure variation of the inside of a cylinder of an internal-combusution engine is provided and the means 1 is constituted by providing a peizoelectric type pickup between an ignition plug fitted to each cylinder and the head part of engine. The pressure variation detected electrically is fed to a pressure correcting means 2 and the inner pressure of cylinder is corrected with the pressure level of a crank angle set up in advance by the inner pressure of cylinder as a reference value. On the other hand the crank angle of an engine E is detected by a crank angle detecting means 3. The output of the means 2 and the output of the means 3 are fed to a torque calculating means 4 and converted into a net torque generated by the engine E by the means 4 and the signal according to the net torque is outputted. A momentary torque can be thus detected with good accuracy.
