PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material superior in antistatic characteristics, preventing from scratches and pressure fog, and having high drying speed by forming a layer contg. an electrically conductive inorg. oxide particles on one side of a support, and a layer contg. a hydrophobic polymer between the conductive layer and a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The conductive layer needs to contain conductive inorg. oxide particles having a volume resistivity of <=10<7>OMEGAcm, such as at least one kind of crystalline metal oxide selected fromoxides of Zn, Ti, Sn, Al, In, Mg, Ba, Mo, Si, and Zr, or composite metal oxides thereof, and having an average particle diameter of 0.05-0.5mu. The hydrophobic polymer intermediate layer needs to locate nearer than the silver halide emulsion layer to the supporting body and nearer to the emulsion layer than the conductive layer. As the hydrophobic polymer, water-soluble polymers obtained by radically copolymerizing at least one kind of monomer selected from additionally copolymerizable unsatd. monomers, or latices aq. polyesters, aq. polyurethane, etc. obtained by emulsion copolymerizing them, and are used. |
