PURPOSE:To obtain a small-type fan heater generating little noise and easy to manufacture, by a construction wherein a heating element formed of an electric heating material is provided in close contact with vanes of a fan or a frame for supporting the vanes, and an electric current is passed to the heating element. CONSTITUTION:In a quick heater to be mounted on a vehicle or the like, the vanes 5 of a rotary fan are formed of an aluminum material or the like, and an annular heating element 3 is constituted of a ceramic heater or the like. Brushes energized by springs make frictional contact with slip rings 9, 10, respectively. When an electric current is passed to the electric heating material 3 to generate heat, the heat is immediately transmitted to the vanes 5, and hot air is blown off. Accordingly, since the vanes 5 have both the function as a heat exchanger and the ordinary function of blowing air, hot air can be blown off without need to constitute the vanes themselves of heating elements, pressure loss can be reduced, and noise can be reduced. Further, the heating element can be designed while taking into consideration only the function of rapidly transmitting the generated heat to the vanes, the heating element is simplified in shape. |
