THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To impart a sharp color transfer image having no background staining even to plain paper and to make it possible to form a film having a smooth surface even at the time of manufacturing under a high temp. heating and drying condition, by interposing an adhesive resin layer between a heat-meltable surface layer containing no colorant and a heat-meltable colorant layer thereunder. CONSTITUTION:A heat-meltable surface layer containing no colorant is provided on a heat-meltable colorant layer and an adhesive resin layer with a low m.p. or a low softening point is interposed between both surface and colorant layers. Therefore, a good color transfer image can be imparted even to plain paper low in surface smoothness without lowering resolving power and the generation of background staining can be also suppressed. Further, even if manufacturing by drying at temp. exceeding the m.p. softening point of the heat-meltable colorant layer is performed, a film having a smooth surface can be formed.
