PURPOSE:To exhibit satisfactory positive electrostatic chargeability without contg. a positive electrostatic charge controlling agent and to improve the density of an image and the resistance of a toner to caking, moisture absorption and transfer to PVC by using a specific novel binder and controlling the positive electrostatic chargeability of the toner. CONSTITUTION:A polymer consisting of 2-100wt% the cyclic amino group- contg. polymerizable monomer expressed by the formula I and 98-0wt% polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with the above-mentioned monomer is incorporated as a binder into a toner to produce the positive chargeable toner. The cyclic amino group-contg. polymerizable monomer expressed by the formula I includes morpholinomethyl acrylate, morpholinoethyl acrylate, etc. The polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with the cyclic amino group-contg. polymerizable monomer expressed by the general formula I includes styrene, o-methyl styrene, m-methyl styrene, etc. The positive chargeable toner is obtd. by incorporating a coloring agent or magnetic powder, and if necessary, a toner characteristic improving agent in addition to the above-mentioned binder to the toner, melting and kneading the mixture and pulverizing and, if necessary, classifying the mixture. |
