PURPOSE:To perform a test near to real running, by controlling the load characteristics of a front wheel roller and a rear wheel roller on the basis of full running resistance load calculated based on a running speed and allotment resistance load calculated based on either one of a load allotment ratios corresponding to a constant speed running time and an accelerated running time. CONSTITUTION:The front wheel 110 and rear wheel 120 of a four-wheel drive car 100 to be tested are respectively contacted with and placed on a front wheel roller 10a and a rear wheel roller 10b to be subjected to dummy running and full running resistance load L0 applied to the front wheel 110 and the rear wheel 120 is operated by a load operation circuit 16 through rotary number detectors 13a, 13b and a speed detector 14. The first and second load allotment ratios of the rollers 10a, 10b are respectively outputted from a constant speed running allotment ratio setting circuit 24 and an accelerated running allotment ratio setting circuit 26. The allotment resistance loads of the rollers 10a, 10b are operated on the basis of the load allotment ratio, which is selected by either one of constant speed running and accelerated running by a change-over circuit 34, by a load resistance setting circuit 42 and allotment resistance loads are imparted to the rollers 10a, 10b through load control circuits 44a, 44b. |
