PURPOSE:To enhance triboelectrifiability, stain resistance, durability, etc., by mixing a thermoplastic resin binder, a dispersing agent having ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic anhydrides on the main chain or side chains, for dispersing the thermoplastic resin, and a pigment. CONSTITUTION:A dry toner for electrophotography can be prepared by mixing the thermoplastic resin binder, and the thermoplastic resin dispersing agent havig principal structural monomer units same as those of said resin, and ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic anhydrides on the main chain or side chains in an amt. of the dispersing agent of 2-50wt% on the basis of the total resin, and a pigment. The difference of solubility indices between the binder resin and the dispersing agent is, preferably, <=3.0. Combinations of aromatic vinyl type resins and acrylic resins are used for said resin binder, and styrene type resins are suitable. |
