PURPOSE:To decrease spotting area and to permit analysis with high accuracy by forming the upper part of rectangular strip-shaped thin layer plates into an approximately triangular shape so that a large amt. of sample is dropped to the lower part of the plates and that the intended components are gathered to the top end with a high concn. in short time. CONSTITUTION:The thin layer plates 1, 1... each formed by coating a carrier such as silica gel on the surface of, for example, a glass substrate 2 are formed into the rectangular strip shape of which the upper part is made into the approximately triangular shape. The plates are separated from each other by grooves 3, 3.... The sample is dropped to the lower part of each plate 1 to evaporate and dry the solvent of the sample. The lower part of the plate 1 is then immersed into a solvent A which can separate first the intended components S1 to be analyzed to develop the plate. The components S1 are thus gathered to the top end with high accuracy. The thin layer plate P for analysis is then pressed to the concd. S1 to transfer said components to the plate P and the plate P is developed under required conditions. The time for analysis is thus reduced and the sure sepn. and analysis are made possible. |
