PURPOSE:To attain a high-speed response with no increase of the current consumption for a level converting circuit which converts at a high speed a signal of a low level into a signal of a high level, by connecting a constant current source between a power supply and a collector of a driving transistor. CONSTITUTION:A constant current source 4 is connected between the collector of a transistor (TR)Q1 connected to a drive terminal 1 and a positive power supply +V. Thus a constant current given from the source 4 is allocated to the collector of the TRQ1 or the base of a TRQ3 in accordance with the ON/OFF actions of the TRQ1. In this case, the floating capacity of the TRQ1 or Q3 is charged by the constant current. As a result, the rise of the output voltage of an output terminal 2 is linear as shown by a dotted line of a figure (b) and also extremely fast compared with a conventional expotential function. The current of the source 4 is constant and can be controlled to the prescribed value. Therefore the current consumption can also be reduced.
