PURPOSE:To make it possible to selectively printing only a blank filling part blank filling character) at an indicated position, by printing the blank filling character corresponding to the part in a document area at a position showing the information of a blank filling position. CONSTITUTION:A document area 21 storing one page of a document such as a blank filling objective type sentence and a blank filling area 22 are prepared to main memory 20 and the informaion of a blank filling position and a blank filling sentence are stored in the area 22. When an operator mainpulates a keyboard to call out a desired blank filling objective type sentence, the first page thereof is transferred from a document file 30 to the document area 21 in the main memory 20 and displayed on a display apparatus 50. When a cursor is displayed at the start position of the blank filling part of the apparatus 50, the keyboard 40 is operated to perform the key input of the character line of the desired blank filling sentence at every one character. CPU10 writes a character code in the area corresponding to the previously written positional information every time whnen a blank filling character code is inputted from the keyboard. The written character code is supplied to the apparatus 50 to be displayed at the corresponding position of the corresponding blank filling part in the blank filling objective type scentence.
