发明名称 ZINC-CHLORINE CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase permeating quantity of electrolytic liquid at the lower part of a chlorine electrode-plate relatively and thereby to prevent deposit of zinc dentrite and short-circuit of a cell caused by said deposit, by improving the structure of a chlorine electrode-plate and a back space in an electrode part. CONSTITUTION:In a zinc-chlorine cell of bipolar structure, the cell is operated by arranging a chlorine electrode-plate 3 made of porous graphite forming a thin portion 3a as a positive electrode against a zinc negative electrode-plate 2 in a cell frame 1, introducing electrolytic liquid 6 made from ZnCl2 as a principal ingredient into a back space 5 through a supply channel 7 and exhausting it outside the system via an inter-electrode part 4 and an exhaust channel 8. Thus, as permeation resistance is relatively decreased at the thin portion 3a of the lower part of the chlorine electrodeplate 3, the electrolytic liquid quantity permeating through this portion, consequently the liquid quantity supplied from the lower part of the zinc electrode-plate 2 facing this portion is relatively increased. As a consequence of this, short-circuit caused by the deposit of the zinc dendrite does not occur and charging over 8hr is possible.
