PURPOSE:To improve low-temp. fixability, release characteristic, fluidity, etc. by using a styrene resin having a high Mw/Mn ratio as a binder and incorporating a release agent consisting of wax contg. an ester component at a high rate and having low penetration into said resin. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin which consists of a homopolymer of a styrene monomer (e.g.; styrene) or a copolymer of the styrene monomer and other vinyl monomer (e.g.; styrene/butadiene copolymer, styrene/methyl acrylate monomer) and having >=3.5 ratio of the weight average mol.wt. with respect to the number average mol.wt. is prepd. The release agent consisting of the wax contg. >=20 wt% ester component and having <=4 penetration (e.g.; carnauba wax) is incorporated at 1-20wt% into such binder resin and further a coloring agent (e.g.; carbon black) and necessary additives are incorporated therein, by which the intended toner for developing the electrostatic charge image is obtd. |
