An electronic voltage regulator (3) of the hybrid type is insulated from the rear bearing by an intermediate piece (8). A contact group with carrier (5) has a protective cap (4) with many perforations for cooling the contacts. The ventilator (11) is of the centrifugal type, drawing the air from inside the generator and forcing it outwards by paddles (13). The housing of the regulator (3) is provided with ribs (7) on one side and separated by the channels (9) which form a suction opening with the protective cap (4) on the other side. When the generator (1) is operating, the cooling air circulates from the rear to the front (arrow F1) and the inside of the protective cap (4) can with advantage be made in spiral form. The cap (4) is held by screws and plates (14).
