PURPOSE:To automatize the holding of spaces between end faces of cylinders in a device for holding spaces between end faces of nuclear fuel pellets for nuclear power plants, by shifting the cylinders which are contained in a container and are horizontally held, onto a space holding device which operates to space the cylinders which have been aggregated. CONSTITUTION:A container 5 in which cylinders 6 are disposed is set on a receiving bed 3 at a level slightly above a shifting joint 8. At this time, cylinder end face space holding members 10 are aggregated on the shifting joint 8 side. Then, the cylinders 6 in the containers 5 are successively shifted onto a concave and convex section 10a in a cylinder end face spece holding tool 10 by pressing a cylinder pushout member 7. Then, a motor 16 is started to move the cylinder end face space holding tool 10 in the leftward direction by means of a chain 15. Therefore, the holding tool 10 are space at fixed intervals in association with guides 11 so that spaces between the cylinders 6 are held. With this arrangement, spaces between cylinders may be held with a high degree of efficiency. |
