PURPOSE:Ceramic in a given form is treated with specific catalyst components of high activity and the product is used as a component of the catalyst to produce the titled composition which will cause no abrasion of the kneader, even when a filler of high hardness is mixed therewith, and include the filler uniformly dispersed. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by polymerizing (A) ethylene by use of a catalyst containing (B) a product which is formed by bringing (i) a high-activity catalyst component soluble in hydrocarbon, containing a transition metal, into contact with ceramic in the form of fiber, whisker or powder (optimally less than 2mm. in the maximum length), in a hydrocarbon solvent and (C) an organoaluminum compound. As a component i, is used, e.g., a cyclopetadienyl such as cyclopentadienyl zirconium. |
