PURPOSE:To increase the amount of the electrolytic liquid of a storage battery so as to improve its discharge capacity, by employing a sheet material mainly composed of alumina silica fiber as the segregating material between the anode plate and cathode plate. CONSTITUTION:The conventional lead storage battery wherein mat material mainly consisting of conventional glass fiber is used as the porous body for containing the electrolytic liquid, and a lead storage battery of the present invention having alumina silica sheet (''KOCERAN-C(R)'' made by Kyoojin Ltd. Co.) as the porous body, are compared for 1hr discharge capacity (given in minutes). The conventinal storage battery gave 65-72min., whereas the storage battery according to the present invention gave 79-82min., and thus the storage battery according to the present invention gave a superior result. The storage battery according to the present invention employing alumina silica sheet which as excellent water absorption property has the larger discharge capacity. |
