PURPOSE:To replenish exactly and stably a development replenisher and to maintain the development with a high level of quality for a long period by adding the development replenisher of the amt. corresponding to the area of the non-image part of a printed-out image. CONSTITUTION:The development replenisher of the amt. corresponding to the area of the non-image part of the printed-out image is added to the developer in the stage of developing the negative type photosensitive printing plate having the printed-out image by an automatic developing machine. For example, the PS plate P subjected to image exposure is first detected and measured of the area of the printed-out image by an area meter 1 and is then transferred successively to a developing tank 2, other processing tank 3 and drying area 4, by which the plate is processed. The information on the image area measured by the meter 1 is inputted to a microcomputer (MC)5 and is arithmetically processed by the prescribed program in the MC5 and thereafter the data thereof is fed to a mechanism 6 for replenishing the developing soln. The mechanism 6 replenishes the instructed amt. of the replenisher soln. to the tank 2. The replenisher of the amt. corresponding to the image area on the surface of the PS plate is thus replenished and therefore the stable replenishment is made possible. |
