PURPOSE:To improve antistatic characteristics, to reduce darkening degree, and to eliminate static marks by forming an electrically conductive layer contg. conductive inorg. oxide particles on at least one side of a support and using a hydrophobic polymer for the binder of this conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The conductive layer contg. conductive inorg. oxide particles and a hydrophobic polymer as its binder is formed on at least one side of the support. The arrangement of such a conductive layer contg. said particles dispersed into said binder can retain a desired antistatic performance even when a coating amt. is lessened, and darkening degree due to the oxide particles can be reduced. The use of the hydrophobic binder reduces water absorptivity and swelling property, favors conductivity, and provides superior antistatic property. It is desireable to use the conductive inorg. oxide particles having a volume resistivity of <=10<7>OMEGAcm for the conductive layer, and as these particles, e.g., ZnO, TiO2, SnO2, Al2O3, etc., are enumerated. |
