PURPOSE:To make the brightness of the whole of the display surface of a liquid crystal panel uniform as much as possible by making the light from an auxiliary light source incident on the inside of an auxiliary optical guide plate from the side and reflecting this incident light toward the optical guide plate through a notch of a reflector by the reflecting action of a reflective plate. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel 20 has the first and the second pattern display parts 21-25 and 26 where normal information and warning information related to a vehicle are displayed respectively, and a notch 32 opening to one side 31 of a prism 30 which corresponds to the integrated information pattern display part 26 is formed, and a prism 70 is fitted into the notch 32 of the prism 30, and a lamp 80 is arranged near one side 73 of the prism 70, and light is made incident on the inside of the prism 30 with the first prescribed quantity of light by lighting of the lamp 80 when integrated information is displayed on the integrated data pattern display part 26 of the liquid crystal panel 20 under the operation of a dimming circuit. By this constitution, the light from the lamp 80 is distributed in the prism 30 as uniform diffused light. |
