PURPOSE:A polyester polymer is extruded into the spinning chimney which is set immediately beneath the spinneret and is kept under pressure, the yarn is cooled down to a specific temperature range and guided out of the sealed spinning chimney into the normal pressure zone to enable the direct production of high- oriented polyester yarn. CONSTITUTION:The melt-extruded yarn Y comes out of the spinneret 7 into the chamber Sa which is kept under pressure, then is allowed to run through the gradually cooling zone in the heated chimney 8 which is kept at a prescribed temperature by the temperature controller 10. The yarn is cooled with a pressurized fluid introduced from the annular chimney 12, further cooling is accelerated, while it runs through the movable chimney 17 and a stationary chimney 18 covered with heat exchanger 29, till it solidifies. The resultant yarn Y is allowed to run out of the pressurized chimney 18 through seal guide 24 into the open air of normal pressure.
