PURPOSE:To obtain a lead-plated copper grating with very simplified processes by forming a frame made of a lead alloy at the upper part of copper expanded mesh and also forming a platic frame within the same mold. CONSTITUTION:A fixed mold 6 and a moving mold 7 are heated up to about 200 deg.C and plastic segments 10 and 11 are respectively engaged with the grooves of both molds. After a copper expanded mesh 12 is placed on the platic segments 10 and 11, the moving mold 7 is moved pushing the fixed mold 6. While this condition is maintained, an upper frame of lead alloy is made. Therefore, the melted material is supplied from the support port at the upper part of molds. Both plastic segments 10 and 11 of fixed mold 6 and moving mold 7 are heated by the heat of molds and melted and mixed each other and the copper expanded mesh 12 is embedded within the plastic. After the melted material of lead alloy supplied into the molds 5 is solidified, when the molding mold 7 is separated from the fixed mold 6 to open the molds 5 and the copper expanded mesh 12 is taken out, a copper grating 1 providing a lead alloy frame 3 having a current ear at the upper part and a plastic frame 4 can be obtained. |
