Device for closing a wide opening in a vertical wall 1,2 of the framework delimiting the opening to be closed and which comprises two output shafts 5, 6 aligned on the said posts 1, 2, the shafts 5, 6 each being coupled to a roller 17, 18 whose other end is guided in a vertical profiled part 15, 16 fixed to the corresponding post 1, 2. On each roller 17, 18 there is fixed one of the ends of a tarpaulin made from flexible material whose other end is fixed to a horizontal beam 3 of the framework delimiting the upper end of the opening to be closed, the reduction motor 4 comprising driving means 11, 12 making it possible to control rotation of the rollers 17, 18 in one direction or the other for rolling up or unrolling tarpaulins 19 and thus opening or closing of the opening.
