PURPOSE:To realize an extremely stable condition of resting on the floor by providing a caster in a member for said resting and utilizing the caster, in a lowered condition, for moving the furniture and further elevating the caster to bend a flexible plate so as to have the sucking force act on the member for said resting. CONSTITUTION:A seat leg 8 is fitted to the bottom of a cabinet 7. When an operational rod 17, provided in a frame 15 forming the seat leg 8, is operated to lower a vertically mobile shaft 11 which has a screw 15 and is screwed in a bearing member 16, a caster 10 fixed to the lower end of said shaft 11 is projected further downward then the bottom edge of the member 9 for resting on the floor. In other words, the caster 10 is brought in contact with the floor surface 20 and said member 9 is lifted from said surface 20. Accordingly, the cabinet 7 can be easily moved by the caster 10. On the other hand, when the vertically mobile shaft 11 is elevated, simultaneously with resting of the member 9 on the floor, a flexible plate 13 bends upward through a movable member 12. Thus, adsorptive force due to vacuum acts on said member 9, and its stability can be improved. |
