PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic measuring instrument which can measure automatically both moisture and flash point with one device and has high economy by providing a flash point detector and moisture detector in the gas space part in the upper part of a sample cup. CONSTITUTION:The sample in a sample cut 1 is stirred by a stirrer 3 and is heated from the bottom by a heater 8. The temp. of the sample is measured by a thermometer 9. The flash point detector 12 which detects the flash point to a gas by a measuring flame nozzle 17 and the moisture detector 20 of which the detecting end is positioned to face the gas space part 6 of the cup 1 are provided to the space part 6. The measuring operation of the moisture when the sample temp. in the cup 1 is adequate is started. The numerical value obtd. by the calculation 31 taking the signal from the detector 20 and the temp. from the thermometer 9 into account is displayed 21 and held. On the other hand, the nozzle 17 is projected at every temp. elevation by 1 deg.C when the sample temp. attains about the expected flash point. The flash is detected 12 when the flash arises thereupon. The detected flash is made into an electrical signal which is transmitted to a measurement control part 30. The display on a flash point indicator 11 is fixed at the flash point temp. after arrival of the electrical signal for the flash. |
