Rotary slide valve for liquids, which valve has a body with a slide housing and at least two inlet and outlet connections, connected to the slide housing, and a slide rotatably mounted on the slide housing and having a seal which presses against the wall of the slide housing. Provided on the wall of the slide housing is a flushing groove which lies in the path of motion of the seal and, in the open position of the slide, extends from the opposite sides of the seal to an intermediate space bounded by the seal, the groove being intended to permit the flow of washing liquid through the abovementioned intermediate space.
