FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed catalytic converter contains housing with double walls and heat insulation placed in between, inlet and outlet branch pipes, high-temperature and low temperature porous cermet filters containing cylindrical cases. Installed additionally inside housing are two axial-flow fans with exhaust gas flow direction blades. Said axial-flow fans are arranged on shaft of drive rotation on two ball bearings installed in hubs of guide blades. Rotary motion to drive shaft of axial-flow fans is transmitted from dc motor through reduction installed on front end of axial-flow fan drive shaft. Reduction gear has exhaust gas fairing, and soot separator with collector installed after guide blades of exhaust gas flow of front axial-flow fan. Soot separator accommodates electrically heated spiral controlled by switch, and soot collector is connected by pipeline with exhaust gas outlet branch pipe. Oxygen from receiver is fed into cylindrical space before low-temperature porous filter. Housing of converter is rotated around its longitudinal axis being driven by dc motor through reduction gear. ^ EFFECT: provision of selectivity and reliability of proposed catalytic converter in operation, improved reliability pf engine, increased engine power output and reduced fuel consumption. ^ 2 dwg |
