PURPOSE:To produce a magnetic core with excellent DC superposition characteristics by a method wherein a gap is made in a part of circular thin sheet made of alloy mainly composed of Fe containing specific amount of Si. CONSTITUTION:An air gap 2 is provided in a part of a magnetic core 1 made of circular thin sheet so as to provide the core 1 with an excellent DC superposition characteristics. A conductor 3 is wound up around the magnetic core 1 to form it into a choke coil etc. The magnetic core 1 is made of Si-Fe alloy containing 5-8% of Si to be provided with excellent frequency characteristics of permeability and negligible iron loss. |
