PURPOSE:To provide an electronic timepiece which is provided with a measuring function and has high additive value by disposing a capacity type pressure sensor constituted of a transparent member in the part corresponding to the cover glass of the timepiece and making the common use of the pressure sensor as cover glass. CONSTITUTION:The capacity type pressure sensor 3 is hermetically mounted via a hermetic member 4 in the aperture of a timepiece case 2 positioned above a display part 1 consisting of a liquid crystal display device or the hand. A diaphragm 8 which is a transparent member and a support 9 are sealed by a sealing part 10 apart from each other at a prescribed spacing. The airtightness between the case 2 and a back 7 of the timepiece is maintained by a packing 7a. The sensor 3 and an electronic circuit 6 in the timepiece are electrically conducted by a conductive member 5 and since an oscillation circuit is constituted to include the capacity of the pressure sensor, the pressure sensor which permits low-voltage driving and consumes electric current to a smaller extent is obtd. The electronic timepiece which contains such sensor and is provided with the measuring function of high additive value such as for measuring water depth, alutitude or atmospheric pressure is obtd. |
