PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately and visually confirm the attachment of a masking jig, by forming the jig from the string part for forming the parting line of a paint and the film part for covering a non-painting part and bringing the string part to an opaque color different from the color of an article to be painted. CONSTITUTION:When the bumper of a car is set to an article W to be painted, a jig 1 is equipped with a string part 2 for forming the parting line of the paint applied to the surface of a part C to be painted and a film part 3 fixed to the string part 2 and covering a non-painting part M. In this case, an opaque color having a color different from that of the article W to be painted is applied to the string part 2. When the non-painting part M of the article W to be painted is masked by using this jig 1, the string part 2 secured to the predetermined position of the article W to be painted through a sticky agent 6 has the opaque color different from the color of the article W to be painted and, therefore, the visual confirmation of the position coming to a parting line is well and the string part 2 can be surely stuck to a predetermined position. |
